Gugu Sidaki

Director and Wealth Manager at Wealth Creed

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®

Gugu Sidaki counts herself privileged to have been able to garner valuable financial services experience and expertise in her career, having fulfilled various roles in different companies.

As a member of the Standard Bank Graduate programme, Gugu was well positioned to undertake a two-year stint at Citigroup in London following her graduation. Thereafter, she was a stock broker at Barnard Jacobs Mellet, where she was tasked with the trading of equities on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. It was at this company that she was introduced to wealth management, and began to service high-net worth clients.

When the company was bought over by the FirstRand Group, Gugu became a Wealth Manager under the RMB Private Bank brand. After almost 10 years there, she decided to apply her entrepreneurial strengths and co-founded Wealth Creed, where she is currently Director and Wealth Manager.

Wealth Creed focuses on pre- and post-retirement planning, risk management, financial literacy, training and coaching. Gugu is particularly passionate about reaching, educating and empowering black women through the facilitation of financial literacy programmes. Her goal is to make financial advice accessible, demystifying financial concepts and making generational wealth a reality for her target audience.

Gugu holds a Bcom Economics degree from the University of Pretoria, a Bcom Honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg, and a post-graduate diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.

Gugu is married to Njabulo and they have a four-year old daughter and two-year old son. Gugu loves to travel, try out new recipes and riding her beloved Ray (a yellow, old-school Schwinn cruiser bicycle).
