Danielle is driven by a deep desire to change her story and uplift others along the way. Growing up in a hardworking family where financial literacy was limited, she saw firsthand the challenges this can create.

She is committed to using her knowledge to empower others, particularly women, through financial education. Her goal is simple but powerful: to help people manage their money with confidence, dignity and purpose.

Daniella is currently working as a Financial Administrator at Schaft Services, where she is gaining hands-on experience in financial management, compliance, and client servicing. The role has allowed her to bridge the gap between theory and practice, reinforcing her confidence that she is on the right path.

Receiving the Women in Finance Network bursary was a turning point in her journey. Beyond the financial support, it gave her confidence, belief, and the freedom to focus fully on her studies and career. Since then, Daniella has grown in independence, drive, and clarity about the kind of woman she wants to become in the industry.

Show up fully and own your space. Work hard, stay curious, and ask questions. Your voice matters, and your perspective is needed. Finance needs more women, not just to participate, but to lead.

Karabo’s ambitions extend far beyond the classroom. Driven to empower others, she actively volunteers with a non-profit organisation called “Keep That Gold Shinning,” where she mentors high school learners by providing them with critical mathematics lessons. Additionally, she has established her own NPO, “Feed a Friend,” which aims to alleviate hunger and homelessness through food drives and, ultimately, the creation of shelters.

Now working as a Junior Paraplanner at Rich Ideas Group, Karabo reflects on the bursary as a pivotal step in her journey. It not only supported her Honours in Financial Planning, but also elevated her visibility within the industry, opening doors to new connections, internships, and career opportunities. Today, she continues to grow her presence in the profession, using both her voice and her perspective to contribute meaningfully to the future of financial planning.
