Aviwe Ntunja was an obvious choice for a MC for WIFN events in Johannesburg. An irrepressibly bubbly nature combines with a razor-sharp commitment to managing a programme with great verve – clear evidence of personal charm and media training.
Don’t be fooled into thinking this lady is light weight. With a BCom Economics degree under her belt, and currently completing an Honours in Financial Planning Law, Aviwe has racked up eight years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. She is currently a Product Specialist with the First Rand Group. She is involved in designing and developing FNB’s Long Term Insurance Product Offering, having obtained extensive experience in what clients need as a Paraplanner at Chartered Wealth Solutions.
Aviwe’s keen interest in public speaking motivated her to sign up for Executive Media Training with Bronwyn Nielson and Associates in collaboration with CNBC. Not only do we at WIFN benefit from these skills, but Aviwe also merges her passion for public speaking with her financial industry exposure to help empower young people from under-resourced backgrounds by hosting free basic financial literacy talks at schools and community centres.
Aviwe’s ambition extends to earning the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. She is well-set to master this next step, with GIBS’ ‘Mastering Design Thinking’ expertise, and having learned Investment Product and Process from Discovery Training Institute and Skills Development Facilitation from ETDPSeta.
Most of Aviwe’s spare time is spent on her feet with her husband and 2-year-old daughter keeping her thoroughly busy. Her hobbies include cooking and more recently, trying her hand at golf.
