Kim Potgieter’s life’s work is to help people align money with meaning to enable positive and powerful transitions. She encourages people to understand and embrace their relationship with money, so that they are ultimately able to view money as an enabler in the fulfillment of goals, dreams and aspirations.
Kim is a Director and Head of Life Planning at Chartered Wealth Solutions, a specialised retirement planning practice.
Be Inspired. Be Brave. Be on Purpose. Related to money matters, this is perhaps Kim’s most well known motto. Kim is passionate about meaningful conversations and understanding one’s psychology or relationship with money. She believes that our relationship with money manifests in the type of decisions we make around money, investing and retirement.
Kim established the Women in Finance Forum in 2013, and published her book, RETIREMEANT: Get more meaning from your money in 2015. She loves speaking and engaging with people, and has presented talks and workshops in a number of forums.

Kim lives in Johannesburg with her husband, Gys, and their three children. She loves cooking and travelling, and is a life-long learner.
