I am Karo Van Zyl and my love for the international financial industry started when I studied abroad as part of my BCom International Business degree at Stellenbosch University. I went to Mannheim, Germany, because I took German as a third language in high school and university. I started my professional career by working at Allan Gray Investment Management Company in Cape Town which expanded my knowledge in investments and provided me with the skills to build long-lasting relationships. I currently work as an International Business Consultant at Overseas Trust and Pension based in Somerset West and in my role I am focusing on international investments education, assisting with cross border client scenarios and building sustainable relationships with professionals in the industry. My goals would be to get to know and build my network in the industry and to develop my knowledge on the matters of cross border investments. My personal interests include being out and about in nature (especially at the beach), traveling in South Africa and abroad, and spending quality time with friends and family over a glass of wine.
